After millennia of slaughtering gods, Gorr was still searching for a way to kill every god in the Multiverse in a single stroke. Apocalypse's Faith-Harvesting Engine offered him that chance.
He brought the engine to the God Quarry, along with Khonshu, who had already absorbed a great deal of faith from it. While Khonshu was being drained of every last trace of power, Gorr set out for Asgard to seize the God Tempest. With the engine fully charged again and the spark to ignite it in his grasp, Gorr's Godbomb was complete—ready to detonate at the very origin of creation.
